The Global Performance Marketing Team manages all media investments that are designed to either drive consumers to register to the free Spotify product or subscribe to the various Spotify Premium propositions. The team is an exciting blend of analytical thinkers and strategic problem solvers, using both science and art to maximize contribution to overall business growth.

Application Deadline

The Performance Marketing team is trying to understand how Spotify’s new position as an ‘audio player’ can help drive growth for the business. More simply put, is content a lever that performance marketing can leverage in our growth engine to help increase our user base? The team has provided a mock data set for media performance of a podcast campaign that was activated to drive registration volume in three markets. We need to understand if this initiative was successful. Based on the data provided, how would you evaluate the performance?


Factors to Consider:

Remember, Spotify is a global brand and not all markets or media platforms perform/behave the same!

Challenge Format

Please submit your solution in the format of Google/Powerpoint slides inclusive of graphs/data visuals. Minimum of 3 slides but no more than 5 slides.


Please ensure your solution addresses the following questions:


-How did this initiative perform relative to our usual business activations?
-What are the market, platform, and creative level insights we should take into consideration?
-Regardless of the trends in the data, are there any strategic considerations that should influence our go-forward decisions?
-Should we do similar activations in additional markets?
